Now here are some rules that will be enforced on these boards:

Selecting a UserName

• Don't use underscores when choosing your name. When wrapping a word in a small place, it breaks at the spaces. With no spaces, it can't break the word and forces a column to be too wide. Please use spaces instead of underscores.
  
  
• Don't use all lowercase or any numbers when choosing your name. Your AOL login might be JDoe1803, but your name here should be something more natural. Think of it as picking a character name and not a login ID.
  
  
• If you choose a name that is offensive or register multiple times for the explicit purpose of causing mischief, then you will be banned.
  
  
• Note that if you make a mistake and want to change your name, you can edit your profile and modify how your name is displayed. In most cases, creating another username is unnecessary.

New Agent Orientation Guide

• Please make an attempt to get acquainted with the forums and read a few threads before making your first posts. Most common questions have already been asked, so try not to be redundant.
  
  
• If you'd like to introduce yourself as a new citizen, please post in the forum called The Village. Most other forums have content guidelines and these types of posts would be frowned upon there.
  
  
• Please read the Guidelines before posting in any special forums (Storytelling, Operation Struggle Within, etc...) or special threads (Storytelling threads, etc). There are guidelines for posting in these threads, and it saves much time and embarrassment if you take a few minutes and learn them.

Advertisement Guidelines

• Please note that commercial advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on these boards.
  
  
• Advertisements of other Delta Green/Cthulhu sites are tolerated so long as:
  - The advertisements are kept to a reasonable number. A message in several threads would be considered excessive. One message in an appropriate thread would be fine.
  - The site does not try to conduct their own business or advance their goals using our forums. For example, conducting meetings or discussions about another site would not be allowed. Selling items that are offered through an organization and not by an individual would also not be allowed. However, a single advertisement of a site where these items are being sold would be fine.
