Type: Survival Thriller Synopsis: Some terrorist people decide that robbing a large cruise ship would be a good idea. Unfortunately for them, there appear to be no passengers... and a big monster from the depths. Review: Suspense is built nicely (although a lot of the 'surprises' are very predictable) and the plot is nice, but it does suffer from some pretty stupid protagonists in places (trying to kill each other instead of escaping? Riiiight). There's a halfway believable premise for why there are tentacled beasts attacking the ship, and generally the film is quite funky. CoC linkage... it could work as a scenario, and you wouldnt need the slightly forced reasoning for what the thing is either A ship has stumbled out over R'lyeh, omfg Cthulhu's attacking! There we go, simple Rating: Plot: 3 - Nice enough. Fun: 3 - Yeah, whatever. Graphic: 4 - The monster itself looks real enough, but the corpses... Let's not go there OVERALL: 3 - Not a bad use of an evening.
